Pradeep Poudel is a Nepali journalist, media entrepreneur, and the creator and host of “Kurakani with Pradeep” — Nepal's premier long-form podcast. Born and raised in Pokhara, Pradeep developed an early fascination with stories and the people who live them. His career in media began at 19, reporting for local newspapers before transitioning to broadcast journalism.

After years of working within traditional media structures, Pradeep recognized a gap: Nepal lacked a platform for deep, unhurried conversations — the kind that strip away public personas and reveal authentic human experiences. In 2022, he launched “Kurakani with Pradeep” with nothing more than a secondhand microphone, a borrowed camera, and an unshakeable conviction that stories matter.

Within two years, the podcast became a cultural phenomenon. Pradeep's interviewing style — patient, incisive, deeply empathetic — earned him comparisons to the world's best conversationalists. He has sat across from actors, surgeons, politicians, entrepreneurs, athletes, and everyday heroes, drawing out narratives that would never surface in a conventional news format.

As the founder and CEO of One Rupee Group, Pradeep has expanded his vision beyond podcasting into a full-spectrum media ecosystem encompassing production, social strategy, and editorial content. His philosophy remains unchanged: amplify voices that deserve to be heard, tell stories that deserve to be told, and do it all with uncompromised integrity.

When not recording, Pradeep can be found trekking in the Himalayas, reading philosophy, or mentoring the next generation of Nepali journalists. He lives in Pokhara with an ever-growing library and an insatiable curiosity about the human condition.
